Philae II (Philae Two, P2) is our successor of the 57 feet Bruce Farr sloop Philae I and the latest vessel in a range of several vessels during the years. P2 is a very special ship designed and built for extreme conditions for sailing the high latitudes in Arctic environments. She is built as a multi task sailing vessel involving expeditions, survey and research commitments.
Designed by Gerard Dijkstra Naval Architects BV and constructed in rugged aluminium
by Engelaer Scheepsbouw BV shipyard, Netherlands in 1996.
